It's easy to waste time with mindless scrolling. A basic strategy helps you get the most out of the platform in the least amount of time. Set clear goals for your Linkedin activity - post and engage accordingly. Define your target market, and connect and engage with those people.
Treat it as a networking event
Yes, we're behind a screen, but classic sales and networking principles apply: have well- a developed profile, show up, customize your connection requests, engage insightfully, be generous with referrals, get your audience to know you before asking them to trust you, research prospects well before pitching, be responsive and don't pick fights!
Play the long game
LinkedIn works if you work it. Depending on your industry and personality, expect it to take anywhere from 3-12 months to see real results. Stay focused and consistent. Set your posting schedule, keep a list of ideas for posts, and keep engaging insightfully on days you don't post - comments are the new content.
